Can't hawk the audience-funded game if I'm not in it myself

I will pump up any creator who wants to go full time on how achievable that path is.

But I am sometimes unwilling to make that bet on myself.

The thing is I’ve already done it.

I ran a membership full time for two years while having a very small audience.

My mailing list when I started Growthtrackers was probably less than 500 people.

I’m actually not the best at growing audiences, but I am REALLY GOOD at monetizing the hell out of an existing audience.

That mailing list turned into Low Energy Leads, which I retired this week at 1500 subscribers. At least 400 of those readers have purchased something from me.

I have now turned my attention to prioritize Journalists Pay Themselves—a project I’m genuinely excited about, one that’s getting very promising traction and one that’s about to pay me $1800 this month in speaking and writing fees alone.

$1800 is great. But it’s not full time income. And I just killed off my main sales channel (Low Energy Leads) and, like I said, closed down my main revenue stream (Growthtrackers).

So where’s the rest of the money gonna come from?
